Vidan was born in the pictureesque city of Perugia, which is nested between the elegant city of Rome and Florence. In his youth, Vidan realized immediately his passion for the arts. His vocation was established instantly and persued with zeal, thus attending some of the finest art schools in italy to inclue the Liceo Artistico Di Milano, and later the Accademia dell Belle Arti in Brera.
Moving to the U.S. in 1988, Vidan began a career in the book cover industry as a romance artist. For over fifteen years he worked for such notable and prestigous publishers as Doubleday, Harper-Collins, Harlequin, Zebra, Berkely, and Ballantine. At the same time, he created art for the Vogue Italia, TV Guide, Snapshots, and MaryKnoll greeting cards.
Vidan studied and worked along side his famous uncle, master painter, the late Pino (Dangelico).
But Vidan has always pursued his love of fine art and his masterful work as a portrait artist. In 2002, he began to paint for galleries, and now his work can be seen in galleries all over the country as he continues to create beautiful and inspiring pieces of art.
